Salata, a leading built-to-order salad kitchen, will celebrate the grand opening of its new location on St. Simons Island on Thursday, May 20. Located at 2207 Demere Rd., St. Simons Island, GA 31522, this is the first Salata on St. Simons Island, and the 11th in Georgia.
To celebrate its grand opening, the first guest in line will win a gift basket filled with a $100 gift card and Salata swag. Additionally, the first 100 guests will receive a Salata St. Simons-themed t-shirt to commemorate the new location.
Salata has partnered with local small business Sweet Southern Succulent to gift succulents throughout the morning while supplies last to paying guests. St. Simon’s founded Island Sound DJs will keep the party going out on the patio from 10:30 a.m. to 2p.m. Additionally, Salata will offer complimentary samples of topping and dressing pairings, and organic teas and lemonades so guests can get to know the extensive offerings available at the salad kitchen.
When guests dine at Salata on the grand opening day, they are directly supporting the local community. A portion of sales from the grand opening day (May 20th) will go towards benefitting Beloved Ministries whose mission is to enable spiritual, emotional and physical restoration to single moms.
The new Salata offers guests fully customizable, built-to-order salads and wraps, soups and organic teas and lemonades. All fresh fruits, vegetables and lean proteins will be prepared and chopped daily in-house. Additionally, the St. Simons location sources its shrimp locally, using Wild Caught Local Shrimp from Georgia. With five salad bases, more than 50 toppings, and 11 house-made, gluten-free dressings, guests can create meals tailored to their lifestyle. Warm grains and proteins are also available as a topping, another unique offering at the St. Simons location. Guests can earn points toward rewards with every purchase by signing up for Salata’s Tastemaker Rewards program.

The St. Simons Island Salata is owned and operated by Justin Henshaw of Henshaw Companies. With the addition of Salata, Henshaw Companies now owns 9 restaurants from 5 restaurant concepts and locally employs between 70-100 employees.
