Salsarita’s, the national franchisor of Fresh Mexican Cantinas, will be launching two new menu items in June: the Mexican Chop Salad and handmade Sol Lemonade.

The Mexican Chop Salad is a limited-time offer featuring summer flavors that create a seasonal twist on a traditional dish. Beginning with a bed of Romaine lettuce, the salad is topped with black beans, grilled chicken, Pueblo Corn Salsa, tomatoes, cheese, and fresh salsa with hand-cut pineapples.

The Sol Lemonade is a permanent addition to the Salsarita’s menu. It is made from lemons with a hint of guava and a freshly squeezed lime.

“We’re getting a little fruity this summer,” says Phil Friedman, Salsarita’s CEO. “Handmade lemonade with guava and a fruit-based salsa—what could be more summer than that?”

Guests can add the Sol Lemonade to a combo meal for a tart and sweet drink that complements the Mexican Chop Salad summer special. Both of these menu items will be available at participating Salsarita’s locations nationwide beginning June 12.

Founded in 2000 in Charlotte, North Carolina, Salsarita’s offers Mexican favorites such as signature Casaritos, Mexican pizza-inspired Cantizzas, and an assortment of tacos, quesadillas, and nachos made fresh to order with an extensive selection of proteins, toppings, and fillings, as well as six flavorful house-made salsas.

The franchise has more than 80 locations in 19 states, including seven that are company-owned. Salsarita’s expects to have at least five new restaurants operating and four to six franchise agreements signed before the end of 2013, with long-range projections calling for more than 300 locations nationwide over the next several years.
