The popular fast-casual eatery, Sandwicherie of New York, expanded to Manhattan’s bustling Union Square neighborhood with its second location Wednesday. Like its sister-location in Midtown East, Sandwicherie offers high-quality, fresh and made-to-order fare paired with friendly, genuine and honest service. Owner Kostas Karagiannis, along with his team, announce that the Union Square location’s new menu offerings “speak to the brand’s evolution.”
True to its name, the focus of Sandwicherie’s menu is the selection of new hot and cold signature sandwiches. Named after various New York City neighborhoods, noteworthy options include Union Square with flame-grilled steak, tomato relish, avocado and citrus-cilantro aioli; the Times Square with marinated pork shoulder, tomato relish, roasted shallots, smoked ham, Swiss, and dill pickles; the Hell’s Kitchen, a juicy sirloin steak burger with pepper jack cheese, caramelized onions and mustard aioli; and the Riverside with grilled Cajun wild salmon, grilled onions, tomato relish and fresh herb aioli, among others. A new section called “The Chicken Coop,” dedicated to the famed fowl, includes options like the Baja Club Wrap with flame-grilled blackened chicken, avocado, bacon, tomato relish and romaine; and the Cobb with flame-grilled herb chicken, bacon, bleu cheese, fried egg and roasted tomato. Also new are the customizable “Bowls of Goodness,” hearty bowls featuring the choice of greens or grains, hot-off-the-grill proteins, over 25 mix-ins to choose from, and Sandwicherie’s new house made dips for added flavor. With 8-10 dips on display daily, guests may choose from a varied selection including options like Charred Tomatillo; Muhammara (Red Pepper & Walnut); Smashed Beet & Tahini, Tzatziki, and more.
The extensive, globally-influenced menu also includes build-your-own pastas, seasonal soups, as well as a variety of sweet and savory breakfast options, blended smoothies and fresh pressed juices. With something for everyone, Sandwicherie’s menu is both nutritious and diverse, making it the ultimate destination for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The 1,400 square foot, 30-seat eatery boasts a clean and modern design, featuring industrial light fixtures, green and white subway tiling, as well as reclaimed wood and brick accents to tie together the chic, urban aesthetic.
