Sarku Japan, the largest and most successful Japanese quick-service restaurant chain in the United States, continues the northeast expansion of its franchise program with the opening of six new Teriyaki and Sushi Express stores in the New York metropolitan area.

New locations include Brooklyn, Long Island, Harlem, Yonkers, and two stores in Queens.

Traditionally located in mall food courts nationally, Sarku expanded its brand in 2008 with the launch of freestanding restaurants in major metro markets across the country.

“Ever since opening our street locations in Northern New Jersey, we’ve received a tremendous response from both customers and potential franchisees,” says Bruce Kim, assistant vice president of franchises. “Due to store visibility and brand resonance among customers, metro NYC was the logistical next step.”

Kim says, with the popularity of healthy Japanese quick-service food like teriyaki and sushi on the rise, there has never been a better time to open a Sarku Japan franchise.

The company offers franchisee support in all areas including training, operations, and marketing.

Sarku Japan is now accepting franchise applications from qualified applicants.
