Pie Five Pizza prepares to open its second restaurant in Houston, Texas on Friday, January 23. The opening comes just one month after Pie Five’s market debut.
Renowned for its personalized pizzas, the “five” in Pie Five means it all happens in five minutes or less.
“Pizza lovers across the nation are relishing in the freedom of creating their own customizable pizza with as many toppings as they like, all for one surprisingly affordable price,” says Chris Smith, vice president of operations for Pie Five Pizza. “With our wide selection of quality cheeses, sauces, meats, vegetables and crusts, you simply can’t go wrong when it comes to making your own perfect pizza at Pie Five.”
Located at 107 Yale St. in Suite 400, between I-10 and Washington Avenue, the new Houston location joins its sister restaurant by partnering with the Sunshine Kids Foundation, a local charity dedicated to young cancer patients since 1982.
Both restaurants have helped support the nonprofit organization through their pre-opening fundraising events, and the partnership will continue as new Pie Five Pizza restaurants open in the area.
“We’re thrilled to share this exciting new pizza experience with the people of Houston and we’re proud to support wonderful organizations like Sunshine Kids in the process,” Smith says. “Our local outreach has just begun, as we look forward to working alongside other Houston-area nonprofits, schools and organizations in the future.”
Pie Five Pizza has been named among the “10 Hot New Restaurant Chains from Established Brands” by Forbes. With the Houston opening, the company now has 34 locations in nine states (Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia) with more than 400 announced company-owned and franchise units under contract in 14 states and Washington, DC.
Houston’s 104.1 KRBE will also be onsite on Friday, January 30, adding to the excitement with food and merchandise giveaways from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The new restaurant will celebrate its first weeks of business on Tuesday, February 10, at 4 p.m., with a ribbon cutting ceremony compliments of the Greater Heights Chamber of Commerce.
