Share Our Strength to Offer Training Webinars for Charitable Event

Share Our Strength’s Great American Dine Out, a week-long, nationwide dine-out in which thousands of participating restaurants donate a portion of proceeds to help end childhood hunger, is offering a series of summer webinars. The first webinar is scheduled for July 1, from 11:30 to noon Eastern Daylight Savings Time.

Great American Dine Out is a flexible program—operators decide how they want to implement and promote the September 20-26 event—and this webinar will provide strategies and ideas from industry experts. Registered operators can use these ideas as-is, adapt them or create their own. The 2009 Great American Dine Out is sponsored by Sysco, S.Pellegrino Sparkling Natural Mineral Water, Ecolab, Food Network, USA Today and the National Restaurant Association. Nearly 3,000 restaurants have already registered to participate in this year’s event—quick-service chains Bruegger's and Corner Bakery Cafe, casual multi-unit Joe's Crab Shack and fine-dining independent Eleven Madison Park among them—but more than 5,000 are needed.
