SIMÒ Pizza announced that they will open their first location in the Meatpacking District in New York City at 90-92 Gansevoort Street the first week of June. The fast-casual pizzeria will bring New Yorkers to Napoli in 90 seconds. Inspired by tradition and his current restaurant Rossopomodoro, Simone Falco has channeled his roots and hometown of Napoli to create the SIMÒ Pizza concept.

“With the success of Rossopomodoro in the West Village and within Eataly, I knew that our pizzas were offering guests something special and authentic” says Falco, “Rossopomodoro is a sit down, flourishing, fine dining pizzeria and a classic West Village staple. I’ve come to understand that sometimes New Yorkers, and Italians, just want a different experience … One that is done quickly with high quality ingredients and offered at an approachable price point.” This is ultimately how and why SIMÒ Pizza was created.

SIMÒ Pizza follows an untraditional QSR model. Patrons will order and pay at the counter at this cashless establishment. They will then be given a number (labeled on a pepper mill filled with red chili flakes) to put on their table, they will seat themselves, and will proceed to receive full table service. The SIMÒ Pizza menu will feature six pizzas, including vegetarian and vegan options, and three salads. Each personalized size pizza will be priced at $10 or under, without compromising the size or quality of the pie. All dishes at SIMÒ Pizza will be made with Italian ingredients. The drink menu will include one white wine, one red wine, one prosecco, one beer option by the glass and Italian sodas.

The restaurant, located at the base of TF Cornerstone’s residential building 95 Horatio, has a modern design with clean lines, communal marble tables and wood and green tile accents. The interior is approachable and comfortable, yet still evokes the feeling of a traditional Neapolitan destination. SIMÒ Pizza will be open 11 AM— 11 PM daily and will be available for delivery only on Caviar.
