Slice House by Tony Gemignani announced the expansion of its nationwide footprint to 100 franchise units open or under development. This landmark achievement reflects the brand’s rapid growth since launching franchising efforts 18 months ago in California and marks its entry into two new key markets – Colorado and Utah.
“We are incredibly proud to celebrate 100-units for Slice House by Tony Gemignani, a testament to the strength of the brand and the hard work of our veteran team and dedicated operators,” says Slice House Founder Tony Gemignani. “Our first year and a half were met by such incredible enthusiasm and demand from the market, we can’t wait to see what 2024 will bring. We look forward to opening additional locations to offer our authentic, award-winning pizza to new communities across the country.”
Since officially introducing franchise opportunities in July 2022, San Francisco-based Slice House experienced rapid growth, signing multi-unit deals in the San Francisco Bay Area, Southern California, Texas, Utah, and Colorado. Named #1 Emerging Brand in Pizza Marketplace’s Top 100 Movers & Shakers 2023, Slice House has since built upon its nationwide program to offer franchisees even greater support and value, including a partnership with global leader in real estate services JLL, and welcoming Fractional Chief Marketing Officer Renae Scott and Fractional Chief Technology Officer David Denton. With a commitment to finding qualified, passionate operators, Slice House is poised to significantly expand its footprint in 2024 and anticipates signing over 100 more units into development by the end of next year.
Spearheading Slice House’s development in Colorado is multi-unit franchisee Jamey Cutter, who plans to develop four locations in Denver, as well as locations in Boulder, Colorado Springs, and Fort Collins. A seasoned restaurant operator and manager, Cutter brings extensive experience expanding brands like Krispy Kreme, Jamba Juice, and Corner Bakery into new markets.
“I am very pleased to partner with such an incredible pizza franchise and bring Tony’s award-winning pizza to Colorado,” adds Cutter. “Slice House has been wonderfully professional, providing exceptional knowledge, strong support, and great value with its dine-in, take-out, and delivery offerings, along with the appeal of a world champion, celebrity pizzaiolo.”
In addition to Colorado, Slice House will open seven units in Utah, a market prime for growth, as a part of its newly signed deal with longtime restaurant industry executives Don Lewandowski and Bob Baker. With over 30 years of franchise and restaurant development experience, Lewandowski has worked with such notable brands as Dunkin’ Donuts, Baskin-Robbins, TOGO’S, Café Rio, Mrs. Fields Famous Brands, and today, serves as President for the popular Southern California-based, Sidecar Doughnuts. Baker brings an additional three decades of experience to the table having held top finance and development roles for KFC, YUM Brands, Café Rio, Pieology Pizzeria, Benihana, and Checkers & Rally’s.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Slice House to develop and launch the first locations in the Utah market,” says Baker. “We’re deeply familiar with the franchise territory and have been actively seeking the right partner for several years. We know that Slice House’s quality and Tony’s incredible reputation will resonate with local communities.”
“We look forward to bringing Slice House to this exciting new market and leveraging our significant experience, as well as Slice House’s invaluable resources and support, to drive repeat business, build brand advocates, and ultimately expand throughout Utah together,” adds Lewandowski.
Slice House is actively seeking qualified partners to develop new territories across the country.
