Slim Chickens, the emerging “better chicken” franchise, announced the addition of an in-house delivery platform for catering orders to its online ordering systems. Building on the current platters, family meals and catering platforms that are currently available, the brand is excited to start delivering catering and bulk orders and bringing a whole new level of convenience to its ever-growing customer base. Whether catering a large tailgate or holiday party, wedding reception or a large corporate event, customers are able to place an order 24-hours in advance, pay a flat $15 delivery fee, and the food for the event brought right to your door.
“Since 2014, when we first started franchising, we have been looking for ways to go above and beyond for both our customer and our committed group of franchisees,” says Greg Smart, co-founder and Chief Brand Officer of Slim Chickens. “Delivery for large catering orders is something that our guests have requested for quite some time. We are able to leverage our existing vendor partnerships and advanced technology to get food to our customers in a more convenient way, alleviating the stress that often comes from planning a large event.”
On July 2, Slim Chickens will be rolling out the option for delivery of catering orders at almost all of its US locations, showing over 90 percent of franchisee participation in the new online roll out. A few locations just don’t fit the templet for efficient catering, but most do and adding the option to our online order system is a natural next step in getting Slim Chickens 100% All Natural fresh chicken tenders, wings, salads and sandwiches to our guests with more convenience than ever before.
The new option will also tie into the Slim Chickens loyalty program, which currently has over 70,000 Slimthusiasts enrolled. The point-based loyalty program, which is a new option this year to Slim Chickens customers, offers one point for every dollar spent. “Now when a customer places a $500 catering order for instance, they will be rewarded with 500 points toward their loyalty membership to use towards future purchases and get the order delivered to their event,” Smart says.
“Since its introduction, we have had over 70,000 new Slim Chickens customers download our loyalty app. As a brand, we are now able to approach our customers in a more personalized way, identifying things like birthdays, order history and how much they typically spend. As we bring in catering for delivery, we can further build on this insightful data of order history and simplify the process for our customers.”
