Smashburger, the rapidly expanding better-burger restaurant concept, unveiled an exclusive limited-time only Raspberry Sorbet Shake to benefit Susan G. Komen and in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The new shake will be available in Smashburger restaurants throughout the U.S. from Tuesday, October 1 through Thursday, October 31, 2013. The Raspberry Sorbet Shake is hand-spun and combines Häagen-Dazs Vanilla Ice Cream with Häagen-Dazs Raspberry Sorbet for a blended treat. It retails nationwide for $4.49, with 40₵ of each Raspberry Sorbet Shake sold donated to Komen.

Komen has made it their mission to work hard every day towards discovering and delivering the cures for breast cancer, and we are pleased to help support this important cause,” says Dave Prokupek, CEO and chairman of Smashburger. “Our Häagen-Dazs shakes are a favorite among customers at Smashburger and now guests can enjoy our delicious limited time Raspberry Sorbet Shake while making a contribution to a great organization. To help in the fight against breast cancer, Smashburger has committed to donating a minimum of $25,000 to Komen this fall.”

In support of the limited-time promotion, all Smashburger employees will wear a Komen pin in honor of Komen’s mission to save lives and end breast cancer forever. Each Raspberry Sorbet Shake is served with a matching pink straw and customers have the opportunity to make their own donation to Komen onlin. Customer donations will be incremental to Smashburger’s minimum guaranteed donation of $25,000.

We are excited to be partnering with Smashburger this October,” says Dorothy Jones, vice president of marketing at Susan G. Komen. “By purchasing a Raspberry Sorbet Shake, customers are making a real impact in the lives of women and men facing breast cancer in their communities and around the globe.”
