Smiling Moose Deli Goes Mobile

Smiling Moose Deli, a Denver-area chain, partnered with Splick-it to release a new mobile ordering app for their customers.

Customers can use the app to order and pay for their meals by credit card. The customer's receipt is e-mailed to confirm the order.

"We know preparing good food takes time, and some of our downtown customers cannot afford to wait in line during their short lunch breaks," says Chris Lynne, brand manager of the Smiling Moose Deli.

"With this app, we've found a way to get our busiest customers the same great meal with no wait time," Lynne says.

The free app, which was released in December, saw almost immediate feedback from customers. The Smiling Moose Deli has experienced a steady, growing number of customers ordering on their phone since the apps became available.

Smiling Moose Deli And with four more franchise locations opening this year, the Smiling Moose Deli store owners also appreciate the greater opportunity for success.

I am not familiar with Smiling Moose Deli, but it is definitely a smart move for them to go mobile. Hopefully, more restaurants will follow their lead; chain operated restaurants and small restaurants.

Take a look at Firehouse Subs website. Try it from your mobile phone (not just iPhone or Android but any mobile phone). Go to from your mobile phone. It will:1. auto detect the mobile phone and render the mobile-friendly website (powered by let you "find a Firehouse near me" (for GPS-enabled phones)3. let you order online (they use for this)It is FAR better than downloading an app.
