Snappy Salads to Open 3rd Houston-Area Location

  • Industry News March 20, 2018

Snappy Salads, the paper straw-loving, nutrition-centric restaurant, is continuing its expansion into the Houston market with a third location scheduled to open in mid-April at 1000 Main. 1000 Main is connected directly to the Downtown Tunnel System and located in front of the Main Street Square MetroRail Stop. This will be the 18th Snappy Salads location in Texas.

Snappy Salads has proven that even salad-hating people will change their mind after trying their top-selling Grilled Avocado Salad with Chipotle Lime Vinaigrette.  The new Riced Cauliflower Salad and the nutrient-dense Bam Bam Salad also have allowed Snappy Salads’ guests the opportunity to discover that healthy and nutritious food can be satisfying.

The award-winning restaurant upends the typical protein-to-vegetables ratio to create hearty and delicious meals.  Lettuce is fresh cut, dressings are made in house, and additions like wild-caught Sockeye salmon are sautéed to order and served hot.

Snappy Salads entered the Houston market last year and has since gained a loyal following affectionately referred to as “Snapsters.”  “Houstonians have been so supportive of our growth in this market that we decided to continue our expansion here," said Chris Dahlander, founder. “We’re looking forward to converting more Houstonians into ‘Snapsters’ with our satisfying and craveable salads.”

The 2,133-square-foot downtown location continues their mission to leave this world healthier than the way they found it. Long communal tables are made from reclaimed wood, lighting is energy-efficient, takeout containers and utensils are biodegradable, cups are made from corn, and straws are made from paper.  Snappy Salads is proud to serve food products that are aligned with their mission like non-GMO oil, ferrous gluconate-free black beans and olives, EDTA-free mayonnaise, sustainably raised tomatoes, and organic fair trade iced tea.

The 1000 Main location will offer seating for 62 guests, catering, call-ahead, and online ordering. Hours of operation will be 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
