Soupman Inc., the parent company of The Original SoupMan, will be introducing its new mobile food truck franchise opportunity at the upcoming International Franchise Expo show, taking place in New York from June 20 to 22.
Food trucks are one of the hottest new trends in the culinary world and one of the fastest-growing franchise opportunities. According to IBISWorld, a Los Angeles-based market research firm, food trucks generated $1.5 billion in revenue between 2007 and 2012, an average annual growth rate of 8.4 percent. Combine that market with the power of the Original SoupMan brand name, and those looking for exciting new franchise investments are expected to be jaywalking across the expo floor and creating traffic jams at Booth #559.
"This is the first time we've made our soup truck opportunity available at the International Franchise Expo, and we're thrilled at the chance to present it to the most sophisticated entrepreneurial members of the franchise community," says Lloyd Sugarman, the newly-appointed CEO of The Original SoupMan. "With a low investment and a simple and easy business model that is perfectly situated for high-volume situations, we are confident that our brand can roll-out this new franchise opportunity nationwide."
In addition to the company's new food truck franchise opportunity, The Original SoupMan will also reveal to expo attendees a new restaurant format, Al's Famous New York Delicatessen & Restaurant. The menu features the world renowned Original SoupMan soups, a full authentic New York delicatessen menu, including fresh sliced pastrami, corned beef, and oven roasted turkey, as well as a traditional full breakfast menu, including eggs Benedict and bagels and lox.
This new restaurant model is generating significant early traction. Partnering with long-time Johnny Rockets franchise owner Robert Azinian, The Original SoupMan recently signed a multi-unit deal with Azinian to open Al's Famous New York Delicatessen & Restaurant model in casinos throughout the U.S. and Canada. The next two locations are slated to open in the Mohegan Resorts Casino in Atlantic City and the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs in Pennsylvania.
The 22nd International Franchise Expo is the franchise industry's premier annual event, sponsored by the International Franchise Association. The three-day show will draw thousands of entrepreneurs and business owners to come and meet over 400 franchises.
