South Dakota Nabs Chedd's Franchise

Chedd’s Gourmet Grilled Cheese announced the opening of its second franchise, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, scheduled for early 2010. The new restaurant will be located at 323 S. Phillips Ave. Suite B.

“The grilled cheese sandwich has found a permanent place in Americans’ hearts,” says founder Dirk Bruley. “At Chedd’s Gourmet Grilled Cheese, we take an old-fashioned favorite and make it even more appealing with contemporary and innovative flavor additions."

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Bruley stays true to his home state and only uses Wisconsin cheese in the creation of Chedd’s Gourmet Grilled Cheese sandwiches.

“Wisconsin cheeses are exceptional, and the state's cheesemakers are known for both their traditions and innovations," Bruley says, adding that Wisconsin's varieties now include a number of artisan and American original specialty cheeses. “When it comes to quality and variety, Wisconsin Cheese is the leader.”
