Spicy Pickle Sandwich Company, a Denver-based restaurant chain,is on a nationwide search for the best name for its signature (and currently nameless) pickle mascot. The competition, which promises to be fierce, will run from August 1 to September 21, 2011.

To participate in the “Our Pickle is Nameless, Name the Pickle” contest, guests can submit their most witty, creative, and outrageous ideas in any of the 30 participating Spicy Pickle restaurant locations by submitting a fully completed official entry form into a designated drop box.

“We’re tired of calling our Pickle ‘fill-in-the-blank,’” says Stephanie Mehta, Director of Operations at Spicy Pickle. “It just isn’t right. And in case our guests are vacationing, we made sure that they can enter from anywhere. Spicy Pickle fans can also submit their suggestions via e-mail or mail by following the stated entry instructions.” Official game rules will be posted on spicypickle.com.

An esteemed panel of pickle experts will judge all entries. The name for the new Spicy Pickle mascot will be selected on or around September 16 and will be announced during the private Sandwich Soiree Parties within each store on September 21.

The individual submitting the winning name will be given the official coveted title of Grand Pickle VIP and will receive an all-inclusive Pickle Party for 20 to celebrate with his or her closest friends.

For a truly inspirational experience, guests are encouraged to come into the nearest Spicy Pickle location and sample one of its famous specialty pickles with the purchase of any whole sandwich or Panini.
