Professional Sports Catering, LLC (PSC) today announced it has entered into a partnership with the State College Spikes (New York-Penn League, Class-A Short Season Affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates) to manage the food and beverage operation for all events held at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

In addition to the Spikes’ 38-game home schedule from June to September, Medlar Field at Lubrano Park is the home to Penn State University’s varsity baseball program, which competes in the Big Ten Conference. The ballpark also offers extensive concessions and catering opportunities on Penn State Football Saturdays in the fall.

“We are excited to be partnering with a well-run organization like the Spikes,” says Tom Dickson, CEO of PSC. “Their customer-friendly atmosphere will align nicely with our principles. We look forward to providing fresh, high quality food options to all Spikes fans.”

PSC will bring its successful food and beverage model to State College as the first client in the New York-Penn League. In addition, PSC is committed to delivering quality food options with the freshest ingredients.

The company is also excited to partner with Greenberg Sports Group (GSG), which manages the day-to-day operations of the Spikes and Myrtle Beach (SC) Pelicans, and provides management and consulting work across Minor League Baseball.

"This new partnership with PSC is a significant improvement to the already fun and affordable experience offered on Spikes game days, and during all events held here at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park," says Jason Dambach, vice president and general manager of the State College Spikes.

"PSC brings a refreshing approach to the ballpark food and beverage experience. Because its roots are in Minor League Baseball, they understand how integral the tastes and smells of the ballpark are to the customer's enjoyment of the game, and have a proven track record in producing quality selections and exceptional service."

Professional Sports Catering, LLC is the only full service food and beverage company that focuses exclusively on Minor League Baseball. Tom Dickson and his partner, Sherrie Myers, launched the company in 2005 to serve the needs of Minor League Baseball teams across the country.

Since then, the company has continued to grow and provide value to each of its Minor League Baseball partners. In 2011, PSC announced a joint venture partnership with Mandalay Baseball Properties, who have become active partners in the strategic growth of the company.
