The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf will introduce a variety of new peach flavored teas this spring. The Peach Fru-Tea drink, Spring Peach Tea Lattes (hot and over ice), and Peach Ginger Green Tea (retail) will be available for a limited time starting March 1, 2010.
To introduce the new teas and to give back to customers, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf will host a Tea Heritage Celebration on Thursday, March 4, from 4-7 p.m. at participating locations. During the “Open House,” guests can enjoy select complimentary 12-ounce beverages: Peach Fru-Tea drink and Spring Peach Tea Latte or Over Ice Tea Latte.
“When we develop a new tea, we work tirelessly to ensure that there is a perfect balance of flavors,” says David De Candia, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s tea buyer and master tea blender. “In our Spring Peach Tea, the earthy flavor of the tea is enhanced by the slightly sweet peach to create a smooth beverage that’s not too sweet and not too bitter. I work directly with tea farmers all over the world to ensure the teas we use are sustainably grown to the highest standards.”
The Peach Fru-Tea drink is an ice blended beverage that combines the sweet flavors of ripe peach with a hint of green tea. Like all of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s signature Tea Lattes, the Spring Peach Tea Latte (available hot or over ice), is made by infusing freshly extracted Spring Peach Tea with vanilla powder and non-fat milk.
Tins of Spring Peach Tea are also available for retail sale, along with the Peach Ginger Green Tea. Both limited edition teas, sourced by De Candia at the origin and blended exclusively for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, cost $10.20 for a tin of 20 whole-leaf tea bags.
