Start Restaurant, a cutting edge concept focused on pure, organic and all-natural menu items served in a quick-serve format will open its third location on August 13 at 5533 Old Lebanon Road in Frisco, Texas.
Open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, organic and all-natural ingredients are the fundamentals of Start’s menu.
Eggs, milk, sugar and more menu items are always organic. Meats and eggs are from humanely raised animals. Start will never use (animal) products that are raised on hormones, antibiotics or treated with nitrates. The menu offers meals and treats from fresh ingredients found in any well-stocked pantry.
Customers can find their favorite foods, only smarter: salads with house-made dressings instead of squeeze pouches; wraps in whole wheat, spinach, or gluten-free tortillas; kids’ favorites made with clean, wholesome ingredients; coffee made from locally roasted artisan beans and blended with organic milk, soy milk or almond milk; 100% grass-fed burgers; many gluten-free and vegetarian options and more.
Start’s first location, opened in August 2012 on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, was created by food lover, mother, wife and former attorney Erin McKool to meet the growing demand for healthy, from scratch food on the go. This talented home cook kept searching for a quick but healthy drive-thru option only to realize that it was a niche that needed to be filled.
Her passion was to start a trend that remodels fast food. What could be better than a drive-thru that serves a local, grass-fed hamburger and a healthy kids meal to boot? While organic and natural foods have become more available in full-service or hybrid restaurants, it is virtually impossible to find anything organic (or scratch-made) in a drive-thru.
McKool explains, “What’s more, ‘healthy’ doesn’t always equate to ‘tasty’. Our focus is not on diet food. Rather, we are offering our guests their favorite foods only smarter – whole foods sourced well.”
She continues, “We are thrilled to be opening store #3 in the booming Frisco area. We took time to carefully choose this location and are grateful for the already enthusiastic response. We look forward to meeting our new neighbors on Monday.”
