Escape Enterprises of Columbus, OH introduces the Steak Escape Sandwich Grill in Hilliard, Ohio as the company's latest evolution of the fast-casual dining business. The new prototype is located at 2540 Hilliard Rome Road, where every aspect of the dining experience was re-imagined.

“We went through a two-year process to re-imagine every aspect of our fast-casual brand from our logo, to our menu, delivery system, and unique catering program,” says Escape Enterprises co-owner, Ken Smith. “It became a mission working with our food partners to source the best USDA sirloin steak, the healthiest, hormone-free, all-white meat chicken and turkey, as well as to develop the best fresh-baked authentic Italian rolls. We also created new culinary recipes to elevate the flavors of all our sandwiches. The food is absolutely outstanding and we are proud as can be.”

The new culinary recipes were developed to add distinction and depth to the flavor of each menu item. Other menu items, such as wraps, grilled salads, and smashed potato bowls were elevated as healthier choices for customers.

Steak Escape also looked at the dining experience as being more than just eating. Customers now enjoy meals in a stylized, natural urban environment that is interactive and engaging.

In Steak Escape’s new prototype, a large community chalkboard creates interactions with customers. Questions such as, “Where do you work?” and “Who’s your favorite coach?” are asked. One such interaction rewarded Kroger with a complimentary catering order for their employees. Music also plays a big role: Steak Escape creates their own playlists, called Moo Moo Radio, and invites the community to contribute. The digital menu boards inside the restaurant also present a simulating experience with mouth-watering images of meal options prior to ordering.

The Hilliard location takes note of how important convenience is for customers on the go. The easy-to-read menu, quick-line service, and drive-thru service make it easy and fast for customers to order their meal.

Steak Escape, known as the originator of the mall Cheesesteak concept, has focused on building more stores on the streets, which has allowed them to be a greater part of the community. They offer programs such as community fundraising and events that invite the public to strengthen their community.

“Steak Escape will be the place where people want to hang out,” says Gloria Gularte, store manager of the Hilliard Steak Escape. “Not only do customers already enjoy the sights and sounds of the front-line grilling, but now they’ll be able to enjoy their visit even more because they are invited to share ideas and community engagement. So far, the customer feedback has been wonderful.”

Founded in 1982 and based in Columbus, Ohio, Steak Escape stakes its reputation on freshly prepared and grilled Cheesesteaks, Fresh-Cut Fries, Fresh-squeezed Lemonade, and a variety of fresh-grilled specialty subs, salads, and Smashed Potatoes.
