Steak 'n Shake, the pioneer of the premium burger segment in the restaurant industry, announced today that Steak 'n Shake will open 15 new locations in Pakistan.
Steak ‘n Shake has signed an exclusive agreement with FM Foods Pvt. Ltd., an affiliate of MJ Holdings, to bring the “better burger” chain to Pakistan. The agreement is part of a continued expansion of Steak ‘n Shake by Biglari into International markets. MJ Holdings incorporated FM Foods for the Steak ‘n Shake expansion and owns other companies in food service, financial services, and media services.
“FM Foods is the perfect partner to introduce the Steak ‘n Shake premium burger and milkshake experience to Pakistan” says Jim Flaniken, senior vice president of marketing for Steak ‘n Shake.
The brand, famous for its Steakburgers, fresh fries and traditionally hand-dipped Milkshakes (voted No. 1 by ZAGAT), is a top five performer in the “QSR 50 Burger Segment” based on average sales per restaurant, according to the latest QSR Magazine rankings.
“We are very excited to introduce Steak ‘n Shake to the Pakistani consumer who appreciates high quality and taste,” says Wasim Ahmed, director with FM Foods. “Steak n Shake is an 80-year-old American brand that is synonymous with freshness and quality. We pledge to offer the Steak ‘n Shake menu at the best possible prices without ever compromising on quality.”
Steak 'n Shake expects to open its first locations in Lahore in 2015.
