Subway is the country’s number one franchise opportunity, according to Entrepreneur magazine’s annual Franchise 500 rankings.
Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 rankings are considered the most comprehensive franchise rankings in the world. Many factors are weighed, including financial strength and
stability, growth rate, the size of the system, and start-up costs.
“This is a great honor for our entire team,” says Subway
President Fred DeLuca. “I am extremely proud of what our franchisees
accomplish every day in providing great food and service to our customers.
They should be proud as well for their part in making Subway restaurants the
number one franchise opportunity for 2006.”
The Entrepreneur magazine honor comes during a busy time for the Subway chain, which recently took two first place spots in QSR magazine’s inaugural
Best of … Awards, which can be found in the December 2005 issue. Subway was cited by QSR for “Best Use of Space” for its non-traditional location strategy and Best Grassroots Giving.
In addition, Subway chain was named Best Franchise for North
America in the November 2005 issue of Global Finance magazine.
