Tabasco Executive Receives National Honor

    Chef Jason R. Gronlund, corporate executive chef and director of culinary services and ingredient sales for McIlhenny Company and TABASCOBrand Products, was recently honored with the 2008 President’s Award by the Research Chefs Association (RCA). 


        The President’s Award is given each year based on the criteria of dedication, involvement, and professional contributions of RCA member chefs and food scientists.  Gronlund was selected as one of three President’s Award recipients in 2008 from a national pool of more than 2,200 members. 


        In addition to serving as chef and ingredients manager, Chef Gronlund also handles product and foodservice recipe development for McIlhenny Company's independent restaurant and chain operator clients around the world. 


        The RCA is the leading organization for food product development professionals including research chefs, food scientists, and culinologists, and is committed to the advancement of Culinology—the blending of culinary arts and food science.
