Taco John’s is introducing new Fish Tacos this month. The Mexican restaurant chain has teamed up with Kent Hrbek, a two-time World Series Champion with the Minnesota Twins and an outdoor TV show host, to launch the new menu item as warmer weather arrives.
“Our research shows customers want lighter, fresher menu items as winter winds down and spring moves in,” says Bob Karisny, vice president for menu strategy and innovation. “Our new Fish Tacos earn high marks in both of those categories– they’re light and fresh with an original flavor.”
Taco John’s Fish Tacos are made from ocean-caught white fish. The fillets are seasoned and rolled in a crunchy tortilla crust, wrapped in a warm flour tortilla, and topped with crisp lettuce, cheese, and zesty Fajita Sour Cream. Plus, each Fish Taco comes with a wedge of fresh cut lime for the guest to squeeze over the entire taco.
“Communicating freshness was our goal with the launch of Fish Tacos,” says Renée Middleton, vice president of marketing at Taco John’s. “Kent Hrbek, a self-professed Taco John’s fan, is an avid fisherman and natural spokesperson in our television commercials for Fish Tacos.”
Fish Tacos will be available at Taco John’s locations through April 8, 2012.
“Our Fish Tacos offer menu variety to existing customers while serving up yet another reason for new customers to try Taco John’s for the first time,” Middleton says.
