After expanding down the East Coast to Washington, D.C. last year, Tasty Burger returns to its Boston roots with the launch of its Chef Burgers of Boston series. A quarterly collaboration, the Chef Burgers of Boston series invites a local chef to design a specialty burger that will be available at all Tasty Burger locations in Massachusetts. For its inaugural chef partnership, Tasty Burger teams up with Matt Jennings for the Homegrown Burger, named after the Townsman chef-owner’s newly-released cookbook, Homegrown: Cooking from My New England Roots (Artisan Books).
“Drawing from my New England upbringing, I designed the Homegrown Burger with Tasty Burger to celebrate a number of ingredients you crave in the Northeast this time of year,” says Matt Jennings, chef-owner of Townsman in Boston and author of Homegrown: Cooking from My New England Roots (Artisan Books).
The Homegrown Burger from Chef Matt Jennings is a griddled, all-natural turkey burger topped with cheddar cheese, cranberry relish, and Grey Poupon on a toasted pretzel roll. The New England-inspired, autumn-themed $6.25 burger is available at all Tasty Burger locations in Massachusetts from November 1-30, 2017.
“Tasty Burger loves Matt Jennings,” says Tasty burger CEO David DuBois. “In celebration of Matt’s new cookbook and Tasty Burger’s first ever monthly burger special, we teamed up to create the Homegrown Burger, a turkey burger built with delicious fall flavors. The Homegrown Burger is a great way to kick off our new series that celebrates the great chefs of Boston.”
