TCBY recently expanded its footprint in Texas and is hosting a franchise open house to celebrate the opening of its newest self-serve location.
The open house, which will provide an opportunity to learn more about owning your own franchise, will be held on Saturday, April 14, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the new Temple store located at Marketplace Center at 3010 South 31st Street in Temple.
The new store is part of TCBY’s developer agreement with Lone Star Yogurt and David Weaver, managing partner of Lone Star Yogurt, to open 200 self-serve locations in Texas in the next 10 years.
“Our Temple store is an important milestone for TCBY because it signifies that we are on track to opening a total of 24 locations in East Texas, Fort Worth, Dallas, and Houston by the end of this year,” says Tim Casey, CEO of TCBY.
“Our open house at this new location will provide an opportunity for potential franchisees to experience our new brand approach and store model and to learn of TCBY’s innovation plans for the future.”
The Temple store is the seventh TCBY restaurant to open as part of the 200-store Texas expansion planned for the next 10 years. Fifteen additional stores are currently under construction.
The new store features TCBY’s self-serve concept, which allows customers to make their own frozen yogurt treat by choosing from available flavors and mixing in a variety of toppings.
TCBY, which currently has 380-plus franchise locations in 47 states, offers the most extensive product line, with all yogurt flavors low in fat, fat free, or sugar free. TCBY recently launched its new frozen yogurt classification called “Super Fro-Yo,” the healthiest frozen yogurt product available in the market. TCBY is part of Mrs. Fields Famous Brands and thus is a sister company to Mrs. Fields.
