TCBY recently expanded its footprint in North Carolina with a new store in Charlotte, marking the 28th store in North Carolina. The owner of the new location is Samuel Batt, a TCBY franchise area developer for North and South Carolina.

Although Batt now owns eight stores, this location is the first to open since he signed on as an area developer to open an additional 23 stores. The new store, located at Town Center Plaza at 8550 University City Blvd.  in Charlotte, is 2,000 square feet and features TCBY’s new self-serve concept, which allows customers to make their own frozen yogurt treat by choosing from 12 available flavors and mixing in a variety of toppings.

“This new store in Charlotte is yet another representation of our commitment to expand TCBY in North Carolina,” says Tim Casey, CEO of TCBY. “Our new area developer agreement with Samuel Batt will facilitate 23 new TCBY locations in the Carolinas within the next three years, and this new store in Charlotte is one of the first to open as part of this expansion.”

TCBY also expanded its footprint in Oregon with a new store now open in Sandy, marking the seventh store in Oregon. The owner of the new location is Hannah Smith, a first-time franchisee.

The new store, located at Sandy Shops at 16605 SE 362nd Drive #F in Sandy, is approximately 1,200 square feet and features TCBY’s new self-serve concept as well.

“TCBY is able to meet the growing trend of healthy treat offerings by bringing the healthiest frozen yogurt on the market to the Sandy community,” Casey says. “This location offers TCBY’s new self-serve concept, making it a unique experience for our customers to create their own frozen yogurt combination.”
