Guidepost 13—a brand-new “quick craft casual” restaurant concept featuring customized oven-grilled wings, tenders, and flatbreads, along with self-serve beer and cider taps—is set to officially launch with aggressive plans for national expansion.

The brainchild of 13 eccentric people with over 35 years in the traditional wing and sports grill industry, Guidepost 13 is a bold, energetic, and eclectic restaurant concept seeking to redefine the traditional wing and pizza segment.

“We’re thrilled to introduce such an exciting, truly unique concept to the fast-casual segment – there’s honestly nothing else out there like Guidepost 13,” said Founder Dan Chaon.  “At GP13 we march to the beat of our own drum, and our mission is to empower guests and team members to do the same. We are striving to pioneer ‘quick craft casual’ dining by providing healthy, uncompromised food, and an exceptional guest experience.”

Guidepost 13, launched by the team that helped the Native Grill & Wings brand grow to more than 40 locations, will focus on providing a unique customer experience where guests can order oven-grilled chicken wings, tenders, and flatbreads—never fried, and enjoyed at one’s own pace. Cutting-edge cooking procedures will ensure a truly personalized, time-responsive dining experience for each guest, while self-serve beer and cider taps will further enhance the customized feel.

The brand will be opening its flagship restaurant, a corporate-owned location, this fall in the highly sought-after Arcadia district of Phoenix.  Guidepost 13 ultimately plans for three to five restaurants in the greater Phoenix metro. As Chaon says, “Phoenix is a natural launching pad for GP13 given its robust restaurant community.

“We’ve had a significant amount of preliminary interest in GP13 and are currently seeking area developers and multiunit owners to augment our anticipated corporate growth,” Chaon adds. “We have comprehensive, proven systems in place to support our future franchisees, and we’re looking for partners who share our mindset of marching to the beat of their own drum.”

Through its singular approach to fast-casual dining, Guidepost 13 is poised to hit the ground running with a one-of-a-kind franchise opportunity in major U.S. markets. Including a franchise fee of $25,000, the initial investment to open a GP 13 franchise is $450,000–$695,000. The brand has also received strong initial interest in an International Master Franchise agreement.

The average restaurant will be approximately 2,500 square feet and will seat around 75–90 people, also offering a strong carry-out and catering presence along with lifestyle patios where applicable. The efficiency of the brand can also reduce the footprint for high-density urban areas along with any captive venue locations.
