TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual dining, fast casual, quick service, virtual kitchen and family dining restaurants throughout the state, announced today its recognition as a 2023 Michigan Top Workplace for the sixth consecutive year. TSFR was named the No. 15 workplace in Michigan by the Detroit Free Press, an increase from their 2022 ranking of No. 17.

The Top Michigan Workplaces award celebrates 225 companies across the state that make the world a better place to work together by prioritizing a people-centered culture and giving employees a voice. The award is based entirely on feedback from an employee engagement survey completed by the employees of participating workplaces. The survey measures 24 factors in seven categories, including company leadership, communication, career opportunities, cultural environment, managerial skills, pay and benefits.

TSFR, with more than 6,500 employees throughout Michigan, ranked 15th in the large business category, which compares employers with more than 500 employees. TSFR was also recognized as a Top Workplace USA for the past two years.

“Creating a supportive work environment where our team can thrive is central to the TSFR mission,” says Mark Schostak, executive chairman of TSFR. “Our people are our most important asset, and we work hard every day to attract, maintain and foster the talent that delights our guests across Michigan.”

The restaurant group also provides its employees with competitive benefits, including a care fund for unexpected expenses due to catastrophic life events, a 50% discount at all TSFR restaurants, instant pay, paid time off, 401K, health insurance and flexible scheduling.
