THB Bagelry & Deli announced the grand opening of its seventh location at 1602 Whetstone Way in Locust Point’s McHenry Row, scheduled for February 15. This marks the third location in Baltimore City for the renowned eatery, celebrated for its breakfast and lunch offerings, featuring authentic New York-style bagels, artisan coffee, flavorful omelets, paninis, deli sandwiches, and fresh salads.
“We are proud to open our doors in Locust Point, a neighborhood we have wanted to be a part of since we opened our Canton location in 2009. Many residents make weekly trips to our Canton location and order catering regularly, so this is a natural fit for us to bring the THB experience closer to them,” says Tony Scotto, CEO of THB Bagelry & Deli. “We appreciate the unwavering support the community has shown, and we are especially thankful for 28 Walker and the Sapperstein family for the opportunity to join this great neighborhood.”
THB of Locust Point, nestled at the northern corner of McHenry Row, occupies a 2,700 sq. ft. space whose atmosphere draws inspiration from the vibrant piazzas of Southern Italy. The interior exudes a bright and colorful ambiance, capturing the essence of the Scotto family’s hometown. A three-season patio, set to open this spring, will offer expanded seating, while a dedicated pick-up window creates a seamless pickup and delivery experience for drivers.
With the opening, THB is excited to announce a new collaboration with McCormick®, a long-time partner. THB of Locust Point will feature an Asiago Tamarind Bagel for a limited time to celebrate the grand opening. The culinary masterpiece blends THB’s popular Asiago Bagel with McCormick’s 2024 Flavor of the Year, Tamarind & Pasilla Chile Seasoning. This fusion offers a tantalizing and tangy sweet twist, creating an unparalleled taste experience for THB Locust Point patrons, bagel fans, and Baltimore foodies.
To continue the celebration, THB of Locust Point will offer free coffee to guests all day, Monday-Friday through March 15, for guests who purchase a THB-branded mug. Additionally, a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the restaurant is scheduled for February 15 at 9 a.m., followed by opening to the public at 10 a.m. Ten guests in line before 10 a.m. will be randomly selected to win Free Bagels for One Year (52 bagels with cream cheese). Winners must download and use the myTHB Rewards app to accept the prize.
THB, which opened in 1999 as Towson Hot Bagels, has since grown to include Canton, Charles Village, Owings Mills, Columbia, and Timonium locations. The Scottos have owned the chain since 2008.
