Each morning, parents drop off their kids at school, leaving them in the hands of their teachers. It's these teachers who become daily heroes to children, educating them, caring for them, and helping shape their futures.
Tijuana Flats, a fast-casual Tex-Mex dining experience featuring superior guest service and fresh, made-to-order food, strongly believes that without a passion for teaching and genuine love for children, the world would be a much different place.
That's why the brand wanted to take a day to celebrate these community heroes, specifically, and let them know that everything they do is respected and greatly appreciated.
On December 27, Tijuana Flats is hosting a Teacher Hero Day, on which all 88 locations will offer teachers one free entree, no purchase necessary.
"The recent tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School has shaken the country and myself personally," says Tijuana Flats owner and CEO Brian Wheeler. "It made me realize that teachers are not always given the appreciation they deserve, and we wanted to start changing that immediately.
Teacher Hero Day will be an annual occurrence in December at Tijuana Flats.
