Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop is celebrating National Coffee Week with the launch of any size coffee in Regular or Dark Roast for just $1.

Through September 29, participating U.S. restaurants are encouraging new and loyal fans of the brand to enjoy either the Original or new Dark Roast blend (or both) for just $1.

Launched in August, Tim Hortons Dark Roast is a premium blend made from 100 percent Arabica beans. The new blend offers hints of citrus, cocoa, and earthy tones with a rounded body. It is roasted to bring out the full flavor of a dark roast coffee, while ensuring a smooth finish.

"We are often the first stop in our guests' morning routines and we believe coffee is more than a beverage, it's a ritual," says Mike Meilleur, executive vice president of Tim Hortons U.S. "Offering our guests a $1 any size coffee is our way of helping them get the day started off right—all week long."

As part of National Coffee Day celebrations on September 29, Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop will be giving out more than $9,000 in cash and gift cards. Special gold envelopes filled with either a $25 Tim Card or cash will be hidden across local hotspots in Columbus, Ohio; Buffalo and Rochester, New York; and Detroit and Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Clues of where the golden envelopes are hidden will be released on the brand's Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.
