Atlanta-based Tin Drum Asiacafé continues its southeastern expansion with its newest franchised location opening—and its first Roswell, Georgia, location—in Roswell Market Place shopping center.

The newest 50-seat restaurant unit, slated to open April 15, will offer free Tin Drum fare for a year to the first 50 customers from 11 a.m.–noon and again from 5–6 p.m.

Celebrating throughout the week of April 15–21, the newest Tin Drum Asiacafé in Roswell welcomes the Roswell community with weeklong events including Taco Tuesday (April 16), Rock and [Spring] Roll Thursday (April 18), Stir Fry Friday (April 19), and Family Fun Day on Saturday (April 20).

Tin Drum is giving back to the community with a focus on school and church-based organizations for sports, music, and the arts.

The Roswell location will donate 15 percent of proceeds to the Roswell High School band on Wednesday, April 17, and to Child Spring International on Sunday, April 21.

Childspring International is an Atlanta-based charity that provides medical care for children unable to obtain treatment on their own.

The Roswell Tin Drum, the 13th location for the brand, and will be operated by Different Drum, Inc., with Jeffrey Sitterley as the general manager.

The Roswell location will employ approximately 25 team members. The unit will feature the chain’s signature contemporary and energetic atmosphere and menu that reflects the bold, street food of founder and CEO Steven Chan’s childhood in Hong Kong.

The menu is comprised of more than 35 menu items made with Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Indian influences and 15 signature sauces

Each Tin Drum location is designed to feel like a lively, bustling street-side café in Asia with edgy, urban, and upbeat décor.

The atmosphere is reflective of the “Tin Drummer” story, to which the chain’s name can be credited. The story goes that in ancient Asian cultures, a tin drummer, part newscaster and part wake-up caller, would walk the streets banging a tin drum, beckoning people to gather at the lively café to fuel their minds and bodies for the day.

While they ate, the tin drummer would entertain them with news and events. This tradition became the heart of Asian culture.

Today, that drumbeat lives on with upbeat music, fresh vibes, and savory eats at Tin Drum Asiacafé.

“Tin Drum is becoming a household name across Georgia and the Southeast, and this latest opening in Roswell is a testament to the solid demand,” Chan says. “However, we aim to remain strategic in our approach to growth, prioritizing the support of existing units.”

Part of that support means optimizing the brand’s look and feel, ensuring that guests continue to be served food in a speedy manner, and fulfilling the promise of unparalleled franchisee backing.

The pan-Asian chain, which recently announced a new franchised location in Athens, Georgia, in Beechwood Shopping Center, is actively pursuing franchisees in the southern states of Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, and the Carolinas.
