Slice by slice throughout September, TooJay’s Deli raised $16,000 from cake sales and guests who generously “rounded up” their checks in support of Feeding Florida.

Feeding Florida is a statewide network of Feeding America food banks which provides a healthy, adequate and consistent food supply to those in need. Every dollar donated provides 11 meals through the Feeding Florida network. TooJay’s donation will fund more than 176,000 meals for food insecure families. A portion of the donation has been earmarked to help people in the Bahamas affected by Hurricane Dorian.

“When we all work together, even small donations add up to big support for Feeding Florida,” says Max Piet, president and CEO of TooJay’s and board member of Feeding South Florida. “We are proud to support this great organization’s mission to end food insecurity in our state.”

Since TooJay’s launched its partnership with Feeding Florida in September 2017, the restaurant brand has raised and donated nearly $80,000 to end food insecurity in Florida.

“We are so appreciative of the TooJay’s team and patrons for their support and continued partnership,” adds Robin Safley, Executive Director of Feeding Florida. “With their help we know that we can build a food secure Florida.  Food security is imperative to a healthy and thriving Florida.”

Founded in 1981, TooJay’s currently serves guests at 30 restaurants in Palm Beach and Broward counties, Collier County, the Treasure Coast, the West Coast of Florida, the Orlando area and The Villages.
