Torchy’s fan-favorite Scallywag Taco is back as April’s Taco of the Month. With a tsunami of incredible flavors, the Scallywag taco dives back on the menu at participating Torchy’s locations April 1-30.
The Scallywag features coconut-battered shrimp, bacon, green chiles, freshly grated jack cheese, pickled onions and cilantro with scratch-made peach habanero jam on a flour tortilla, for $6.50.
Torchy’s is celebrating the beloved Scallywag Taco of the Month by inviting guests to join a week-long “hunt” in search of Torchy’s Hidden Treasure. From April 1-7, each Torchy’s restaurant will surprise 50 lucky guests who have ordered the Scallywag with “Liquid Gold” in their basket or takeout bag. “Liquid Gold” will be given in the form of a gold coin-shaped coupon good for one free, full-size Green Chile Queso and Chips for taco junkies’ next visit. Additionally, taco fans who share a picture of their “Liquid Gold” coupon with the hashtag #torchystreasure will have the chance to receive other fun surprises during the month of April.

With sweet and crunchy coconut-battered shrimp, chopped bacon, and the bright, flavorful punch of pickled onions and our scratch-made peach habanero jam, the Scallywag’s like a taste of the tropics roadtrippin’ through the South!”
Guests can pair the Scallywag with Torchy’s featured Scallywag Margarita, which is sure to take you to paradise! Combining 100 percent pure agave Reposado Tequila by Exotico, Triple Sec and peach habanero jam, it’s served frozen with a Cap’n Crunch and coconut rim.
The Scallywag is available April 1 at participating Torchy’s Tacos locations. Portions of the proceeds from all Taco of the Month sales go to Torchy’s charitable partners.
