Tropical Smoothie Café, the fast casual café concept known for its better-for-you food and smoothies with a tropical twist, announced the opening of its first restaurant in the Seattle market. Located in the center of Bellevue, Washington, at 10445 NE 4 Street, the new Tropical Smoothie Café is owned and operated by small business owners Helen and Ming Yu.

Tropical Smoothie Café offers a variety of healthy smoothies and freshly prepared salads, tacos, wraps, sandwiches, and flatbreads. Guests also can try Tropical Smoothie Café’s limited-time Mediterranean Flatbreads and Live Better Smoothies, which feature spinach, kale, cucumber, kiwi, and other nutritious fruits and vegetables.

“Our first experience at Tropical Smoothie Café was while we were traveling with our twin sons, who are national-level junior tennis players. They loved the food and smoothies. That played a major role in us ultimately choosing to open Tropical Smoothie Café,” says Ming Yu, who left the engineering industry to open the fast casual café with his wife, Helen, an accountant.

“We always wanted to own our own business and Tropical Smoothie Café is a perfect fit with its high-quality, flavorful food and beverages that contribute toward a healthier way of life in the community where we live,” Helen Yu says. “As one of the largest suburbs of Seattle, Bellevue is an ideal community for Tropical Smoothie Café. We’re excited to introduce our restaurant to Bellevue and confident residents will love what we offer.”

Tropical Smoothie Café in Bellevue is open daily from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. January through April, and daily from 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. May through December.
