Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint to Open First VA Location

    Industry News | August 27, 2014

Uncle Maddio's is getting ready to open its first Virginia location on Saturday, August 30, in Dulles within the Washington, D.C., area. The restaurant is located at the Dulles 28 Centre in Loudoun County, Virginia, and will throw a grand opening celebration with a free 9-inch, 3-topping pizza for everyone who shows up from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Franchisee Chris Wadsworth is a Loudoun resident who lives in nearby Ashburn with his wife and three boys. He is former TV anchor and reporter, so getting into the pizza biz is a major career change.

"I've wanted to open a restaurant since I was in college, so this is the fulfillment of a life-long dream," Wadsworth says. "I checked out all the competitors and no one could touch Uncle Maddio's. The pizzas, the salads, the paninis—they're all made with the freshest ingredients following recipes designed by a skilled chef. The taste is out of this world."

The Wadsworths have signed a three-unit development agreement with Uncle Maddio’s and plan to open two more locations in Northern Virginia.
