Jody Maroni, the world famous sausagemaker known for his chicken and pork gourmet sausages, has added a Veggie Hot Dog to his menu mix. This falls under the heading, “They said it would never happen!”

“I have been making fun of vegetarians my entire career,” Maroni says, a notorious shill for meat products who has been known to say to Vegans who come up to his counter and ask for non-meat dishes, “I can cure you of that!”

But, Maroni is nothing if not astute, and after researching the variety of products on the market, has included a soy-based Veggie Dog in six of his 25 locations. The Veggie Dog served on an onion roll sells for $4.29. In addition to the Veggie Dog, Jody Maroni’s serves Roasted Corn Salads and Veggie Maroni Sandwiches (made with Grilled Onions, Tomato and Lettuce) and ALT (Avocado, Lettuce and Tomato) on his menus.

Jody Maroni’s Sausage Kingdom includes 25 locations in Los Angeles, Gilroy, Orange County, Camarillo, Cabazon, Glendale, Las Vegas, Phoenix, St. Louis, Houston, and Cleveland. The company will open three new locations in Indianapolis, Phoenix, and Chino Hills before the end of the year.
