VeriFone Holdings Inc. (NYSE: PAY – News) today announced the creation of an Integrated Systems Group for Latin America, which will provide integrated payment solutions throughout the region.

Gustavo Jimenez was appointed vice president and general manager of the new group, reporting to Fernando Lopez, vice president and general manager of VeriFone Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Jimenez was previously VeriFone vice president of business development for the region.

“The momentum obtained by our continued success in the region allows us to dedicate resources focused on delivering end-to-end solutions in key vertical markets,” Lopez says.

The LAC Integrated Systems portfolio will include VeriFone’s PAYware payment processing software solutions, as well as a variety of solutions for specific market segments including petroleum, unattended, multilane retail, transportation, government, and healthcare. These markets present attractive growth potential for VeriFone in fiscal year 2009.
