Growing restaurant brand Verts will open the doors to its 31st restaurant in Plano, Texas, Saturday, April 9.
To celebrate the launch of the West Plano restaurant, Verts will give away one free, full-size entrée per guest from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The restaurant will also give away eight $25 gift cards in a raffle, as well as Verts swag. More prizes will be awarded through a social media contest.
“We are excited to bring our inspiring Mediterranean food to the Plano community,” says Verts cofounder and CEO Michael Heyne. “Driven by our passion and vision for culinary excellence, we look forward to being part of the Plano community for years to come.
As part of its commitment to the communities it operates in, Verts will donate 100 percent of sales on Saturday to the North Texas Food Bank, a local nonprofit that distributes donated, purchased, and prepared foods through a network of more than 200 Partner Agencies in 13 counties. Guests who purchase sides, drinks or additional entrées throughout the day will be happy to know that their money is going to a worthy cause in the Plano community.
“We are very excited to partner with Verts Mediterranean Grill on their grand opening in Plano,” says Jan Pruitt, president and CEO of North Texas Food Bank. “Their donation will help us in reaching our goal of providing 92 million meals annually to hungry children, seniors and families in North Texas.”
Verts West Plano is the 31st location for the restaurant brand in Texas. The company will continue to expand in Texas throughout 2016, with plans to open eight to 10 additional locations across Dallas, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. Verts will open its first out-of-state location this summer when it launches on the East Coast. Overall, the fast-casual Mediterranean plans to open at least 20 new restaurants in 2016.
