Visstun announced their reusable plastic containers have passed initial rounds of High Pressure Processing (HPP) testing.

Visstun’s new product configuration of their custom plastic containers withstands the extremely high pressures (300-600 MPa/43,500-87,000psi) required for High Pressure Processing. Testing was conducted at 86,646 PSI with a dwell time of 180 seconds.

This new HPP capability coupled with Visstun’s innovative approach to cup & container manufacturing provides a Hi-Definition print. This enables customers to have a container that extends shelf life, improves food safety, and increases revenue with professional packaging that stands out on the shelf.

"Many of our customers have national programs which require longer shelf-life due to the distribution process. HPP is a way to increase shelf-life and decrease risk of spoilage," says Paula Piano, director of sales. “We listen closely to our customers and are excited to provide a solution that also takes advantage of our awesome printing.”
