Community favorite fast casual brand Viva Chicken, known for its flavorful take on Peruvian Pollo A La Brasa, today introduces new menu items inspired by Asian influence available for a limited time (September 30th – November 25th)
Guests know Viva for its tasty chicken and consistent and convenient service. Now there’s something else to look forward to: special menus with limited edition items designed by Peruvian founder Chef Bruno Machiavello. These items will be available at all twelve restaurants, but for a short time.
Inspired by Asian fusion cuisine, the Tallarín Saltado is a Peruvian stir-fry dish that uses authentic ingredients combined with Asian influences, a style of food called Chifa.
Tallarín Saltado: Sauteed chicken breast, red pepper, Aji pepper slices, red onion, tomato slices, linguine, soy sauce, ginger and green onion.
“Many people don’t know that Peruvian food is heavily influenced by Asian flavors; it’s a style of food called Chifa, which is a subculture of everyday street food that’s fused with Chinese influence. The Tallarín Saltado has Chinese ingredients, influence, cooking style, and allows people to enjoy two different ethnic foods in one dish, ” says Machiavello. “We want to inspire adventure eating, and so we’ll continue to introduce new items for the people who have been through our whole menu. As the chef it’s also exciting to empower our team to explore and train with new cooking methods too.”
Viva also introduces “Viva Mac,” a special for the kids, made with creamy Huancaina cheese sauce and linguine pasta.
