Vulcan, the leading provider of commercial cooking equipment, and parent company ITW Food Equipment Group (ITW FEG) announce that Mihyar Mohamed has been appointed vice president/general manager of the North America Cooking Chain & Retail division.
Effective immediately, Mohamed will be working closely with Vulcan and Baxter Business Units to increase sales by strengthening current customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and supporting a focused product innovation platform. Mohamed started at ITW in early 2014 as VP of Strategic Marketing & Global Accounts, where he made significant contributions to building deeper connections with chain customers and prospects.
Prior to joining the team at ITW, Mohammed was the director of strategic marketing at SPX Corporation, leading the marketing and channel management functions for the $1 billion-plus SPX Global Cooling Business. Previously, he worked as a management consultant with McKinsey & Co., where he supported industrial clients with key sales and marketing programs and strategies. He also has held multiple roles in engineering, as well as supply chain and service operations leadership at Hussmann (Ingersoll-Rand).
“Mihyar’s forward-thinking, solution-focused approach and dedication to fostering customer partnerships have proven that he is uniquely qualified for this key leadership position,” says Paul Sternlieb, group president, Global Cooking at ITW Food Equipment Group. “I am confident that Mihyar’s combination of strategic marketing and chain accounts experience as well as a background in lean operations and management consulting will enable him to drive accelerated growth in this division.”
