Wayback Burgers is celebrating a tremendous start to their partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Through a series of successful programs, events and promotions, Wayback Burgers was able to raise more than $72,000 in the first six months of the partnership.
This exciting partnership launched in July 2018 and has benefited the national organization as well as local chapters of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Wayback Burgers and their franchisees have pledged to make an annual donation of up to $150,000 with a minimum of $100,000 for each of the next two years. Funds will be raised through a variety of campaigns, events and fundraisers.
Fundraising efforts included an ongoing program through which a portion of every burger and sandwich sold at Wayback Burgers restaurants from coast to coast was donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Through this initiative alone, Wayback Burgers was able to raise more than $55,000 for Boys & Girls Club of America.
Additionally, Wayback Burgers hosted a national fundraiser day on August 11, 2018. On that date, participating Wayback Burgers restaurants donated 10 percent of daily sales, totaling more than $17,000. This event was put on in conjunction with the Back2School campaign, which is an initiative that addresses the critical after-school hours for kids and teens as they return to school.
“Our partnership with Wayback Burgers is off to a great start. It’s only been six months, and we have already seen notable success with their fundraising campaigns,” says Chad Royal-Pascoe, National Vice President of Corporate and Cause Partnerships at Boys & Girls Clubs of America. “Wayback Burgers’ generous donations have helped us continue to grow our programs and reach more kids in communities across the country. I can’t wait to see where this partnership takes us next.”
This March, Wayback Burgers will host another major national fundraiser (March 26th) and launch a national milkshake contest, where members of Boys & Girls club are encouraged to submit their own milkshake recipes. Up to three new and exciting flavors will be put on display across Wayback’s website, app and social media platforms. These shakes will then be voted upon by loyal Wayback Burgers guests. The winning shake will be found in all participating Wayback restaurants as a limited-time offer later this summer.
“We are very proud to be partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs of America,” says John Eucalitto, CEO of Wayback Burgers. “We are happy to support an organization that is working hard to reach out and help our nation’s children excel in school and in life. We are eager to build on the momentum we’ve generated thus far through our partnership, and we are excited to continue to raise money for a worthy cause.”
