Wayback Burgers is partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The non-profit operates after-school care programs nationally, and Wayback Burgers wholeheartedly believes in its quest to help young people, particularly those who need the most support, reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. This fantastic new national partnership involves several major initiatives and fundraisers.

For the next two years, a portion of the proceeds from each burger or sandwich purchased at participating Wayback Burgers will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Wayback Burgers and its franchise partners are pledging an annual donation of up to $150,000, with a minimum of $100,000.

In addition to the financial commitment, Wayback Burgers is implementing a new workforce training program. The program is designed to teach BGCA members important work and life skills; necessary as they develop into young adults.   Plus, Wayback Burgers is planning on adding the Boys & Girls Clubs of America logo on select packaging material, and potentially team member uniforms, to inform the public of the partnership.

Wayback Burgers, in a search for a charitable organization with whom to partner, quickly determined it shared the same values and devotion to community as the Boys & Girls Clubs of America following an inspirational meeting.

Wayback’s President John Eucalitto, who has a long-standing relationship with the youth advocacy organization, says he is passionate about improving the outlook and destiny of one of the nation’s most vulnerable demographics.

“We have been looking for a charity to forge a strong partnership with for several years, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America is a perfect fit,” says Eucalitto. “The organization’s commitment to mentor and uplift young people in cities and towns across America is a mission that we fully support. End of summer/Back-to-school time is a perfect time to launch our partnership as it’s an exciting time for students, parents, teachers and the community. Our full partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America allows families to sit back, relax, enjoy a quality meal together while at the same time creating life-changing opportunities for local youth.”

In an effort to allow kind-hearted guests to contribute to the endeavor to raise money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Wayback Burgers will host two national fundraiser days. The first designated day is scheduled for Saturday, August 11. Wayback Burgers invites guests to visit their local restaurant to help millions of local kids in conjunction with the 2018 Back2School campaign. The Back2School campaign highlights BGCA’s emphasis on addressing the critical after-school hours for kids and teens as they return to school. Ten percent of daily sales at participating restaurants on August 11 will be donated to BGCA’s Back2School cause.

“After-school programs at Boys & Girls Clubs of America support the learning kids do during the school day to increase BGCA members’ overall academic success,” adds Jim Clark, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. “Wayback Burgers and their guests will ensure BGCA members have the resources they need to have a successful school year. Prepared and equipped youth, coupled with a safe, supportive after-school environment at BGCA, will mean even more kids and teens can build toward a great future.”

Patrick Conlin, Wayback Burgers’ Senior Vice President, is looking forward to ramping up the workforce training concept, which gives BGCA members unprecedented access to local Wayback Burgers restaurants.

“We are just as passionate about the workforce training concept as we are about the donations we’ll deliver through the Back2School campaign and our ongoing partnership,” says Conlin.  “Realistically, higher education doesn’t make sense for all kids, so workforce training at a young age is critical. This program is phenomenal for kids who will get hands-on experience in a job that will teach them how to be a part of a team, train for interviews and develop critical life skills.  Our workforce program partnership will give these kids an excellent opportunity to learn how to do important jobs in a real-life setting.”
