Jeffrey V. Kent was recently promoted to vice president, applications development in the information technology department at Wendy’s International, Inc.

In his new position, Kent will oversee applications development, support and maintenance of Wendy’s PeopleSoft project for the human resources, accounting, treasury, legal, R&D, quality assurance and purchasing departments. Kent joined Wendy’s in 1998 as director of applications development where he was responsible for enterprise application integration, including message queuing, and data distribution.

Prior to joining Wendy’s, Kent was vice president of distributed computing and communications for Huntington Banks. He also served as manager of enterprise computing strategy for Texas Instruments. His 18 years in the IT industry also includes operating systems development at Digital Equipment Corporation.

Kent graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering. He and his family reside in Dublin. He serves on the parish council of St. Brendan Church and is an avid golfer.
