The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption proudly announces the election of Craig Bahner to its board of trustees. Bahner is chief marketing officer at The Wendy’s Company.

"Craig is a proven leader and a welcome addition to our board," says Rita Soronen, president and CEO of the Foundation. "His experience in both consumer and foodservice industries, along with his growth-oriented business philosophy, will help strategically move our mission forward.”

Before Wendy’s, Bahner worked for more than 20 years at Procter & Gamble. Most recently, he was vice president of North America retail hair, overseeing the business for Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences, and other brands. He previously was vice president of Northeast Asia fabric and home care, based in Japan, and marketing director of North America fabric care, managing business for Tide, Cheer, and other laundry detergent brands.

"As Wendy’s charity of choice, I’m thrilled to be involved with the Foundation and to help better the lives of children in North America’s foster care systems,” Bahner says. “My wife Nancy and I are passionate about advancing adoption. As parents of an adopted child, we know first-hand how critical it is for all children to have a loving and nourishing family.”

Craig Bahner earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing and operations management from The Max M. Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. Craig and Nancy have three children, Trevor, Shay, and Anna.
