Whataburger, Inc. announced today that its president and COO Tim Taft will be leaving the company. No explanation why was given.

Whataburger Chairman and CEO Tom Dobson will assume the duties of president, while former chief development officer Preston Atkinson will be promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer.

“Looking forward, we are confident in Preston’s proven ability to lead our company as we continue to focus on our people, our customers and our food that have built our 54-year-old legacy,” said Mr. Dobson.
