On Memorial Day, May 25, 2015, Which Wich Superior Sandwiches, an award-winning, national, fast-casual sandwich concept, launched its 6th annual Flag Your Bag campaign at Which Wich locations across the nation. The campaign, designed to honor active military and veterans, invites guests to write heartfelt messages and doodle on the iconic brown bags, which will then be stuffed with donations and thank you notes and delivered to local military bases and organizations.
In addition to its customizable sandwiches, Which Wich is also known for is its brown paper bags, which guests are invited to doodle on. During the Flag Your Bag campaign, Which Wich will add limited edition blue Sharpies to the brand’s iconic red, and encourage guests to write words of support for local military men and women and illustrate the bags with messages of thanks and encouragement.
Each individual Which Wich location partners with a local organization or support group in their community during the Flag Your Bag campaign. Bags will be stuffed with non-perishable donation items and a thank you note then delivered to those partner organizations. In the past, donations have gone to local Air Force and Army bases, Wounded Warrior Projects, as well as police and fire stations. As an added salute, all veterans and current military members enjoyed a buy one get one free sandwich on July 4 valid with a military ID.
“We look forward to this event every year, and it continues to grow each time” says Which Wich CEO, founder and chief vibe officer, Jeff Sinelli. “It’s an opportunity for our guests and staff to say thanks and give back to the people who have dedicated their lives to serving us. It’s rare that you’re given an opportunity as wonderful as that.”
The Flag Your Bag program has grown dramatically since its inception in 2008—Which Wich sent 300 collected bags in year one and 6,000 flagged bags in 2014. This year, Which Wich hopes to continue exceeding the previous years’ bag collection, and reach more military men and women across the country.
Which Wich also recognizes servicemen and women through its VetFran program, where veteran business owners are encouraged to join the ever-growing franchise brand.
