The French Onion Cheeseburger is the newest product to hit the White Castle menu and will be available beginning July 17 for a limited time. Building on the restaurant’s classic hamburger, the combination of French onion cheese and creamy French onion sauce gives this sandwich a unique flavor that is like no other. Available only until August 13, White Castle fans will have to act fast to savor this bold sandwich.

Building on the success of the Roasted Garlic Chicken Sandwich that was introduced earlier this year, company officials believe the French Onion Cheeseburger is bound to be the Next Big Crave at White Castle. “Offering new products to our customers with intense bold flavors has proven to be very successful for our new product introductions. Be sure to keep an eye out for other new products to come later in the year,” says Jamie Richardson, director of marketing.

Broadcast and radio advertising will support the product’s introduction as will in-store merchandising highlighting the distinctive flavor of the sandwich. The new 30-second TV spot entitled “French Maid” plays up a man’s fantasy as he enjoys the new French Onion Cheeseburger.

The French Onion Cheeseburger is available in all White Castle markets including: Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Detroit, Indianapolis, Louisville, Minneapolis, Nashville, New Jersey, New York, Northeast Ohio, and St. Louis.

White Castle is based in Columbus, Ohio, and operates 393 restaurants in 11 states. The company was founded in Wichita, Kansas, in 1921 and was the first fast-food hamburger chain.
