Brooklyn, N.Y.— May 22, 2002— Eleven White Castle employees from the New York region will compete for the title of the “Fastest Griddle Operator” on May 29th. The contest will start at 10 a.m. at the White Castle located at 900 Pennsylvania Avenue in Brooklyn. As part of the competition, each contestant will prepare and package 30 White Castle hamburgers.

The hamburgers prepared during this event will be donated for lunch for the 250 students with perfect attendance at P.S. 306, located at 970 Vermont Street in Brooklyn. Along with the 500 hamburgers expected to be prepared, soft drinks and French fries will be delivered to the school.

The winner of this contest will go to the national finals of the event in Columbus, Ohio, on June 25, 2002. He or she will then compete against representatives from 11 other White Castle operating regions to see who is the “Fastest Griddle Operator” in the United States.
